Each season Booking.com creates a discount offer to invest in its partners to achieve their sales targets and boost their revenue. These offers are personalized for each property based on their performance, taking into account local restrictions and trends to support all its partners individually and equally.
This time, Booking.com invites its partners to join the winter commission discount offer. Once the properties hit their set sales target, they’ll be able to unlock a 30% commission discount on their exceeded room nights.
How the commission discount works
Properties get 30% of their commission back (e.g. 15% -> 10% commission rate) for any extra stayed room nights sold over their personal sales target between 16 December 2022 and 16 April 2023.
The travel industry has been hit hard by COVID-19 and while we’re seeing demand returning, it’s not over yet. That’s why Booking.com takes market conditions into account for the sales targets. Each property is offered one of the below opt-in criteria based on their market to help them reach their target and unlock the commission discount offer faster:
- Set up a mobile rate
More than 60% of Booking.com guest searches and bookings are made on smartphones and properties that implement a mobile rate receive 28% more bookings from mobile devices on average. So, by setting up a mobile rate properties can reach a growing audience.
- Join Genius
The genius program boosts the properties’ visibility by up to 70% toward high-value bookers and helps them capture up to 45% incremental bookings resulting in an increase in revenue by up to 40%.
How to op- in to the deal
- Log in to the Booking.com Extranet.
- Click on ‘Opportunities’.
- Click on ‘Partner Commission Discount’.
- Review the offer and click on ‘Get started’.
- Activate the required product to fulfill the opt-in criteria.
- Click on ‘Join offer’ to activate the deal.
The deadline to opt-in is March 31st, 2023, and only a limited number of partners can participate in the offer so act soon if you’re interested.
